Contemplation - Zen Pilgrimage

I bow at the feet of my teachers. In the highest kind of seeing there is nothing to look at; that is the radiant clear nature of the mind. There is no need to seek, the best that can be found, the precious treasure of the mind's true nature. The best way to get full is with what you can't eat. The best way to quench thirst is with what you cannot drink, the nectar water of the enlightened mind. The self-aware, primal consciousness is not something that can be described in words. It cannot be experienced by immature hearers and self-help-gurus. It is not accessible to theorists.

The four great elements break apart from one another. The eye and its object of sight drift away from each other. Do you know where they go? Upon discovering their destination you will arrive at the jeweled palace. Do you have any of those jewels in your own home? In the face of these six thieves, you need the courage of a soldier on the front line fighting the enemy. When suddenly faced with an enemy in the midst of a battle, a soldier does not have the time to ponder whether his adversary can shoot well or not, or whether such an shot would be fatal.
