Meditation Week – Zen Retreat – Reexamine Life and Death wholeheartedly
Every first week of the month the meditation retreat takes place in the Honora Zen Monastery. The retreat begins on the first Friday of the month at 3 p.m. and ends on the following Thursday at 3 p.m. Life in the Zen monastery is physically and mentally very challenging.
Walking, I reach the place where the rivers run out; sitting, I see the moment when the clouds arise.

- 05:45 Breakfast
- 07:00 Module
- 12:00 Lunch
- 14:00 Module
- 18:00 Dinner
- 19:15 Meditation (4x 45min)
- 23:00 Lights out
Modules (not selectable): Daylong hike (in all weather conditions), household, cooking, meditation, gardening, etc. Every Sunday we attend Mass at the local church. The daily schedule may vary with time.
Meditation
Take a deep breath and think the unthinkable. Sit comfortably and plunge into the depths of the depths! Meditate until your Self awakens.
Etiquette
The etiquette in the Honora Zen monastery are rules that should make life together smoothly and pleasantly. They provide a framework in which to consciously carry out one's own words and actions.
We eat what is served (dairy products, grains, vegetables, meat, fish, etc.) and we are grateful! There are no exceptions!

Mountain Week
