Noble Eightfold Path leads to the Original Self – Meditation

The noble eightfold path leads to the original face.

  • Right Resolve or Intention: contemplation of impermanence, suffering, and non-Self
  • Right Speech: no lying, no rude speech, no telling one person what another says about him to cause discord or harm their relationship.
  • Right Conduct or Action: no murder, no taking what is not given, no sexual misconduct, no material desires.
  • Right Livelihood: gaining one’s livelihood by benefiting others.
  • Right Effort: guarding the sense-doors, restraint of the sense faculties.
  • Right Mindfulness: never be absent minded, being conscious of what one is doing; this encourages the awareness of the impermanence of body, feeling and mind.
  • Right meditation: aim at insight. Continuous reexamination.
  • Right View: our actions have consequences, death is not the end, and our actions and beliefs have consequences after death.

Contemplation - The True Path

Characteristic of appearances is that they are unborn; if one imagines that they arise, then the thingness is. The hallmark of suffering is that it is baseless; the idea of a foundation is conceptual thinking.

Characteristic of the spirit is its undivided unity; Only considering partial aspects leads to one-sided points of view.

Characteristic of a master is his lineage; anyone who just makes things up for themselves is a fool. The nature of the mind is like heaven; sometimes it is obscured by clouds of conceptuality. The instructions of a qualified master are like wind.

The very essence of thought is radiant clarity; and experiences shine like sun and moon. The clarity beyond space and time is incomprehensible and indescribable and the certainty shines like a star.

Knowledge means understanding that all experiences are experienced in the spirit. Observe the spirit day and night. When you look at the spirit, nothing is seen. Dwell in this expanse where there is nothing to see. You can't understand it with your mind, but you can experience it.
