Four Noble Truths show the Way through the gateless Gate!

The four noble truths show the way through the gateless gate.

Do not shoot the messenger!

  • The First Noble Truth is that life is usually characterized by the suffering of birth, old age, sickness, and death, as well as more subtle forms of suffering that are often unrecognized by man, such as clinging to happiness, which, however, is transitory (in this context it is noted that the word "suffering" also extends to meanings such as "dissatisfaction, frustration").

  • The Second Noble Truth is that this suffering arises depending on causes, namely essentially through the three mental poisons, which are usually referred to in German translation as "greed", "hate" and "ignorance / delusion".

  • The Third Noble Truth states that suffering, being caused by causes, can be nullified in the future if only those causes can be resolved, and then complete freedom from suffering (including freedom from birth and death) can be attained.

  • The Fourth Noble Truth states that there are means to this dissolution of the causes of suffering, and thereby to the emergence of real meaning.

Contemplation - Truths

To the Master who has realized that true nature is selfless, we respectfully pray with our three gates. Grant your blessings that I and my disciples may realize that the true nature of things is selfless and abides and in your compassion. Until we break free from clinging to a self.

Shepherd boy listen carefully! I never saw the dualistic self-clinging consciousness, no matter how hard I looked. If you are able to meditate, you will see without seeing anything. In order to meditate, you must make a great effort at respectful trust and understanding of the cause and effect of the path. In order for you to actualize the fruition you need the empowerment and instruction of the Master. In order for a student to be a fit vessel for the teachings, he must accumulate merit, endure good and bad luck, and endure death.
