International Zen Center – Omnipresent luminous, and it sees the outer perspectives without hatred or delight but with brightness!
The Honora Zen Monastery is a rustic and small international zen center in Switzerland. Here you can find more information and register for the monthly meditation weeks.
Contemplation - International Zen Center
If it where the true mind it would be self-Gnostic without having knowledge; which differs from vegetables and trees since it has steady thinking, is omnipresent luminous, and it sees the outer perspectives without hatred or delight but with emptiness and brightness. Being self-Gnostic without knowledge is the true mind.
Because it knows without knowledge it cannot be different the sage-mind. Again, the deluded mind is attached to being when it is and attached to non-being and does not know the Golden Mean. If that is truly the true mind, you would not fall into either Being nor into non-being, whether it is or is not, and you would always abide in the Golden Mean.
But the deluded mind is as we have discussed, not the same as this. Here, the truth and delusion are two different things; the true mind is the steady and unchangeable mind; the deluded mind is the unsteady and changeable mind.
Everyone has his own divine radiance, which is as transparent as emtpy-space and as omnipresent. For ordinary knowledge it is called reason. For the sake of activities of spirits, it expediently called the true mind. Because there is no discrimination at all, when the true mind is faced with karmic conditions, it would not be perplexed. Because there is no thought to eliminate or invite and since omnipresent truth whatever it faces, it would not be changed by ten-thousand outer perspectives.
Wisdom - Pride
Pride is self-destructive because it causes you to imagine that you understand something when in fact you do not. Hence you never ask the advice of others and just let things stay as they are. In addition, to help one heed the words of wise teachers, you need to cultivate an attitude of respect. Not only should you respect your teachers but you need to respect yourselves. This is achieved through seeking a true way of life for yourselves. However, if you consider the life you are leading at present to be sufficient in itself and refuse to acknowledge any other alternative, you will only give rise to further pride.
