Hell – Terrible torments await those who find themselves in these hells!

The area of hell: The realm is divided into two parts: the hot and the cold hells; these two forms of hell are in turn divided into numerous sub-hells. Terrible torments await those who find themselves in these hells. They end when the unwholesome karma that led here has been exhausted. The characteristic emotion of the hell realms is hatred.

Death

Death means hell. So whenever we miss the mark, we slowly move down because things fall apart. But hell is a bright place, even if it's the fire that burns you, it's always very bright. We humans, we're always drawn to the light, but how can we distinguish the light that awakens us (enlightenment) and lift the veil of ignorance from the light that burns us?

Phoenix from Hell

The phoenix must burn to rise from the ashes. In order to overcome death, one must enter death. The whole world is burning. The same light burns the ego in death while at the same time illuminating the true self.

Love

Love is the light and the life. In search of love we let ourselves be blinded by the forms and the short-term gratifications. We're playing in the amusement park and we don't know that it's death.

Sin

Sin means that we miss the target and thus we have a factual error of Cockaigne and Paradise.

Contemplation - Hell

While you are struggling around with much hardship in the tangle of thorny bushes, you may fear the faint murmur of running water. This refers to the intrusion of certain external obstacles that occasionally interfere with the practice. It may be that people around you, your family, or some harmful friends start telling you that you may as well drop the idea of meditation since it doesn't seem to be getting you anywhere.
