Zen Priest Abbot Reding (Zen Monk) welcomes you to Honora Zen Monastery in Switzerland.
Zen priest
As a Zen priest, I can only hope that my spiritual need today will be the interest of the people tomorrow.

The truly religious man knows that God has created all sorts of wondrous and incomprehensible things and seeks to reach people's hearts in the most peculiar ways. I am the beggar, I am the offender, I am the enemy, I am the traitor. The archdevil of egoism is the king's road to that stillness which demands primal religious experience.
This risk is not a willful adventure, but an attempt born out of the deepest psychological distress to rediscover the unity of life and meaning on the basis of an unprejudiced primal experience. With all due respect to anxiety - but a serious risk that puts everyone in their place must be supported. If you fight it, you are actually trying to suppress what is best in a person, his daring, his highest aspiration, and if you succeeded, you would have prevented that infinitely precious experience which alone could have given meaning to life.
Real is what works!
We simply face the danger that today all reality will be replaced by words. This leads to that terrible lack of instinct of today's, especially urban people. There is a lack of contact with the grown, living, breathing nature.
