The Great Prayer of the Confederates – Let us pray to the praise and glory of the wisdom in which God was in creating all things

The great prayer of the Confederates from my grandfather's prayer book (Men in prayer).

Let us pray to God the Father and Son and Holy Spirit, that he will help us to begin and to perfect him to praise, honor and thanksgiving...

Let us pray to the praise and glory of the wisdom in which God was in creating all things, that he might give us wisdom and grace to resist all that is against his divine will and evil to us...

In praise and thanksgiving for the comforting decree, when the divinity decided to redeem the whole human race, and that God would redeem, guard and protect us from all sins and all enemies visible and invisible...

To the praise and honor of the chosen Mother of God, when the angel Gabriel proclaimed the eternal word to her, and to the praise of the purity with which she conceived God in her pure, virginal womb...

And in thanksgiving for all the suffering that our Lord Jesus ever suffered and that was ever suffered for his sake...

And in honor of St. Moritz and its troops, the ten thousand soldiers, Saints Urs and Victor and their companions and all the saints who have mercy on our fatherland, that they pray to God for us and help us fight in times of need at all times.

And in praise of the Holy Father, Brother Klaus, who faithfully wants to remember us with his holy intercession with God, so that we may live in peace, tranquility and unity in our fatherland and be protected from foreign rule and preserve our praiseworthy freedoms in it our ancestors set us with great sweat and blood, and that we should not break the vow that we made together for their and our fatherland...

Let us pray in the name of Jesus for all Christians, whether living or dead, that God give us and them peace...

And for all good people to persevere in their good life... And to all mortal sinners, that God help us, that we may turn from sins and become good, and that God have mercy on all people...

We also entrust our soul, body, honor and property to the protection of Mary and her dear child, so that they will not let us pay for our sins and will take care of us in every need.

Amen.
