Christian Order Nigredo - Mysticism & Zen

Under the name Ordo Nigredo (formerly Insopor Zen Academy, founded in 2014), a Christian order exists in the tradition of the Catholic Church within the meaning of Articles 60 et seq. of the Swiss Civil Code (ZGB).

Headquarters of the association: c/o Nigredo Monastery, Ussbergstrasse 26, 8864 Reichenburg.
- The association is politically independent.

Purpose
- Cultivation and promotion of Christian mysticism in the tradition of the Catholic Church, combined with Zen practice.
- Conducting a spiritual religious life.
- Spiritual guidance, training, retreats, seminars, events.
- Supporting Nigredo Monastery.
- Non-profit, non-commercial.

Membership
- Male members only.
- Completion of the novitiate at Nigredo Monastery.
- Ordination by Zen Father Marcel Reding.
- The board decides on new members based on ordination.
- Resignation is possible at any time.
- Expulsion for violations of the association's or Catholic values.

Bodies
- General Meeting (GM)
- Board of Directors

General Meeting
- Supreme body.
- Ordinary GM at least once a year.
- Extraordinary GM upon request of the Board of Directors or 1/5 of the members.
- Invitation 20 days in advance.
- Resolutions on annual financial statements (must be adopted), amendments to the statutes, name changes, changes to the purpose, membership fees, and dissolution.
- Resolutions: simple majority; amendments to the statutes/purpose or dissolution: President and a 2/3 majority.

Board of Directors
- Board of Directors: at least 2 members (treasurer, secretary, other members).
- President: Marcel Reding, for life, the highest spiritual and administrative body.
- The Board of Directors manages day-to-day business and supports the President.
- The President has authority to issue instructions and make decisions, unless reserved to the GM.

Funds
- Membership fees, donations, income.
- Liability only with the association's assets.

Association year
- Calendar year.

Dissolution
- Resolution by the President and the General Meeting with a 2/3 majority.
- Assets transferred to a Catholic, non-profit institution with a similar purpose.
